Making Money Online With Google AdSense

Have you any idea about PPC advertising?

PPC advertising is basically pay per click ads where the bloggers and publishers are paid for every click that is made through their websites and blogs. In this kind of advertising scheme, we place contextual and image ads on our websites and blogs. And in return, we earn some money for every click that is made on those ads via our websites.

PPC advertising is most successful on websites and blogs that are flooded with content. So if you have a website or blog with lots of content, you should try PPC advertising programs. There are many bloggers who are able to make few cents to many thousands dollars per day with PPC advertising.

There are many companies that are offering PPC advertising programs that the bloggers and web site owners can use to make money. But Google AdSense is my favorite Pay per click advertising company.

Google AdSense
Most of us know that AdSense is an ad serving company run by Google. In this ad serving scheme, website owners can place textual, image and video ads on their websites. And once the site owners have placed Google AdSense code, they will show adds according to website content and the people viewing that particular page. Suppose someone is watching a finance website page in India, he will be shown ads that are related to financial services in India. Google AdSense offers many ad formats including 200*200, 250*250, 120*600, 160*600, 336*280 etc that website owners can place as per their website look. Google AdSense sends you the money when you have $100 in your account. Suppose you earn $100 in the month of July, they will send you the payment for it around 25 of August.

Another good thing about Google AdSense is that they can you in your local currency as well if you are willing to get your payment in your local currency. Google AdSense has millions of publishers who are making money with their websites by showing Google AdSense ads.

If you also have a website or blog with some decent traffic, then you real chance of making money with Google AdSense. So Sign Up for Google AdSense Account today and start making money with your website and blog now.

Make Money Online With Your Blog

I think having a blog is one of the most versatile ways of making money online. First off, Its really easy to get people to your blog with back links. You can get back links several ways but in my personal experience the two best ways are commenting people's blogs, and getting someone to write articles for you.

Second, there are several ways to make actual money from your blog in this article I'll be listing some of those ways:

AdSpace - sell blocks of space on your blog.

Sponsor Ads - sell special spaces for sponsors. Let them be able to put a banner or text link on your site.

Write blogs - sites like blogvertise pay you to write about companies or products. I did one last week on gift baskets and got paid five dollars for a really easy write. Sites like blogvertise allow you to choose categories that are relevant to your blog. For instance, if I have an electronics blog I can choose to only write about electronics.

AdSense and the likes - put contextual ads on your website. Every time somebody goes to your site. There's a chance they could click on the contextual ad. When somebody does click on your contextual ad you earn a certain percentage. This is a great option to use if you have a lot of traffic.

CPM programs - there are several contextual programs online that will allow you to put banners on your site and pay you every single time they are viewed. CPM stands for clicks per thousand. So for every thousand times someone visits your website, you get a certain percentage of what the CPM offers. For example if the contextual site offers $3.50 per thousand hits then that means if 5000 people visit your site you will make $17.50. I know this doesn't seem like much, but you can add several contextual ads sites to your website at once.

Affiliate Links - there are several million sites online that offer of affiliate programs. One of my favorite sites of Amazon simply because they offer many different products on the website. For example, I have a website, so I can go to Amazon and pick out different affiliates that I know that I will be using a my recipe site. Affiliates that offer such things as kitchen gadgets, gourmet foods, cheeses, or other items that you use for food or cooking! Once I find the affiliates to use a can not only set the affiliate link's. But I can also set up affiliate websites. Then I can either "sneak" in the affiliate links onto my blog, for example get an affiliate for Jamie Oliver cookbooks, then write a blog about how great Jamies cook books are (which they really are!) or I can also include the actual mini stores on my blog. This is nice because people can visually see what I offer on my site.

How to Make Money Blogging on the Internet

If you want to make money blogging on the internet, you will need to realize that it is not as hard as most people think. Sure, it might take a bit of time to master, but that is with everything in life. The good thing is that it only takes most people days or weeks to start seeing immediate results through writing a blog, or twenty blogs if you want even more cash.

There are many, many people who make money blogging. They don't just make a little, there are bunches who tend to make enough to stay at home all day and work for themselves. While not everybody will become insanely rich while writing their blogs, you can very easily and quickly work your way up to a nice paycheck every week in no time at all. To do this, you will need a quick rundown of what to expect and the basics that will help you far into the future.

Here are some of the more critical ones....

First, you will need to know the best place to set up your blog if you really want to make money blogging. The best place that I have found for a multitude of reasons has been WordPress. They have everything on their websites, which makes it very easy for even the newest of newcomers to set up multiple blogs in minutes. You can make your blog look exactly like you want with minimal work. Not only that, but there is also something that will help you out even more.

The thing that helps you make money blogging with WordPress is the fact that they are loved by the search engines. This means that WordPress blog tend to pull up very high in the search results of Google and Yahoo when people search for your keywords/subject. You see, search engines will be a big part of your audience. A large percentage of people who find your blog will be from the search engines. You will want to pick a couple of main keyword for your niche, such as "fantasy football insider", and make sure it is prominent in your blogs title and the text in the main part of your blog.

Last but not least, you will need to promote products as an affiliate to make money blogging. To make money blogging on the web, there is not better way to do it than selling other people's products. Sure, you can set up Google Adsense ads (I am sure you have seen them everywhere), but that is something that you should leave for when you have mastered the industry. Promoting and advertising products on your blogs as an affiliate is easily the best way to make good cash. You can incorporate the products into your blogs where you see fit and you can also put some links on the sides of your blogs. You will also want to make sure the products you pick are something that the reader will want to try. If you need a huge list of the thousands of affiliate products out there to promote and make money blogging, just go to ClickBank or CJ.com.

These are the vital basics when you want to make money blogging on the internet, so you can have a strong foundation with which to build upon.

Is Blogging Ruining Your Online Business

Blogging is "hot" right? And yet there are so many online businesses today being ruined because of the blog.

Whatever article you read, whichever website or forum you visit, you will read or hear about the benefits of setting up a blog and its advantages over using traditional static websites.

And, I gotta tell you, "I'm one of those proponents!"

But what I see all too often is bloggers sabotaging their online business because of their mindset about blogs and blogging.

You see, I believe there is a general consensus amongst marketers new to the Internet that if something is inexpensive, if something is said to be easier, then it means that it doesn't have to be "worked." And then the other side of the coin is that if "I have paid thousands of dollars to get my site built then the "workings" are surely included!"

So whether people have gone through the process of setting up a simple blog or spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars to have an all singing and all dancing blog built for them, they then feel they can do very little to market it, only to be surprised and disappointed later on that no one is visiting their blog, no one is signing up to their newsletter or blog updates and certainly no one is buying their products and services or clicking their AdSense ads.

But it's not all doom and gloom ... The great thing about blog marketing is that by mixing some solid business principles with a few marketing strategies, you can get back on track to get more traffic, build your list, sell more products and attract more clients and, this can all happen in a relatively short period of time.

Here is 1 principle and 3 simple strategies that you can apply to your blog marketing and promotion efforts today that will start bringing you traffic and building your readership in a matter of weeks, if not days...

First, here is the principle:

"You Have To Start Thinking Of Building An Online Business And Not Of Building A Blog."

If you think in terms of building a blog, this is where you'll stop.

If you think of building a business, you'll be attracted to business ideas that will help you promote and market your blog and, attract the RIGHT kind of clients.

What you want to avoid is falling into the trap of creating "form over substance." In other words, the strategies you apply, must be grounded and backed up by principles and, Ralph Waldo Emerson, the writer, said that if you try to apply methods but ignore principles, you are sure to have trouble.

So with that basic principle of "thinking" business building, let me cover 3 strategies that will help endorse the principle so you start making money with your blog:

1) Theme your blog. You cannot be all things to all people since you'll end up serving no one. So the first thing you need to do, is decide "what" your blog is going to be about, "who" it will help and, ask yourself "why" people need your information.

This will help you narrow your niche before you even start spending your precious time on writing elevator speeches and thinking of the perfect strap line.

What you now need to do is go into the admin area of you blog and, since I use WordPress, I will use this as an example ... you need to ensure that both the "Weblog Title" and the "Tagline" of your blog reflect what your blog is about.

And ensure they BOTH include your site's overall keyword or key phrase. So, if your blog is about Dog Training, but your domain name is CruftsRUs.com (a made up name), instead of using the domain name in your blog title as so many bloggers do, you could write "Dog Training With Crufts" or something creative that grabs the eye of your human readers but also attracts the search engine spiders.

Now, when the search engines come to crawl your blog, this is the first thing they will see ... a title that reflects the keywords or phrase that people are searching for online.

2) Write regular "quality" blog posts and ensure you've activated your Pinging or Update Services in your blog admin area.

This is where many bloggers trip up. They want a blog, but only want to add a blog post every two months because they just don't have time to blog ... and believe me, I've fallen into the same trap. But if you understand how blogs work, I think it will help you understand just how important it is to update your blog on a regular basis.

For a quick overview on how blogs work, you can go to my article entitled How Blogs Work.

In my view, if you don't have time to blog - especially if your blog is your main marketing tool - what you are essentially saying is that you don't have time to build your business.

3) Comment on other people's blogs.

It takes just a few minutes to make a comment on other people's blog posts, but ensure you write something of value and not just "great article ... thanks!"

If you write something of value, you will get people clicking on the link that will take them to your blog and, in some instances you'll get backlinks to your blog which, Google loves. And you never know, you may even gain some new clients from this relatively simple exercise.

By implementing these simple strategies and, thinking in terms of business building you no longer have to let your blog ruin your online business.

You'll also notice a significant difference in your blog traffic over days, weeks and months which will then put you in the advantageous position of being able to monetize your blog traffic.

What is a Business Blog?

Although Blog was the most requested word of 2004 as per Merriam Webster Dictionary Online, there are quite a few people, for whom the word Blog is still unknown.

Blog is an online journal of events, raves, rants of the people. When blog first came, it was gladly adopted by teenagers and later by adults to write about their daily lives. Then writers and journalists entered the mix, writing about books and investigative reports on their blogs. Blogs gained prominence in 2004 US Presidential Elections. Meanwhile few innovative people invented "Business Blogs", "Corporate Blogs" and "Company Blogs". Suddenly Blogs started appearing on the Company web pages. Somewhere along the line, people discovered that search engines like Google and Yahoo were displaying Blogs, in most cases, above other search results. Impact of this discovery was huge! Corporations started writing blogs in the hope, to get more prospective customers to visit their websites.

So what exactly is a Business Blog? It is a blog about a business. It is a carefully planned journal about company products and/or services, tips and tutorials about using company's products. At times, customer service issues are addressed using a blog. Some companies have put up white papers on blogs, while others are achieving branding of their products on the blog. On rare occasions, blogs are used to launch or test market the product.

Here is a classic example of business blog. The Stonyfield Farm has not one, but four blogs to interact with customers and community about each of their four product streams. Each of these blogs does more than just praising their products. They provide service to the community. Read this blog here: http://www.stonyfield.com/weblog/

Larger corporations are able to allocate technical writers and/or sales and marketing personnel to write blogs for the company. To a certain extent, medium sized companies may be able to allocate resources for blogging. However small businesses maybe at a disadvantage, when it comes to writing and maintaining Blogs. Mostly a small business is one person show, trying to manage every aspect of business. Although, someone who owns the business or is experienced in the business is most suitable person to write the business, but now there is an option available - Business Blog Process Outsourcing.

How does Business Blog Process Outsourcing work?

Process starts with a thorough study of client's business. If client has a website, blog is embedded in it. If website does not exist, it can be created. Next, a series of posts (articles) are prepared, covering various products or services in consultation with the client. Client approves these posts and they are posted on a pre-selected schedule. Other services include, popularizing the blog by submitting it to various Blog Directories, making blog available via feeds and RSS Readers, optimize the blog for the search engine.

Blog posts generally receive comments which are good and at times not so good. Service includes moderation of all comments. All issues are resolved in a positive manner and in consultation with the client.

Take-away: With 80% people turning to internet to search for products and services, small businesses cannot afford not to be easily findable on search engines. Business blog is an easiest way to improve search engine rankings, provide customer response, tips and tutorials to better use company's products and services.

Blogging For Money - The Golden Rules of Monetization

When you decide to start blogging for money you need to make or change your current Internet business plan, so it can focus on building a strong income stream that can support you for a short or long period of time, it all depends on what your goals are. There are many ways to turn the virtual real estate of your blog into an asset, but its needs to match your overall goals or you will set up your Internet business for failure.

Also, having a business plan will give you a road map to follow and keep your efforts focus on achieving your goals. But, your need to be flexible and be ready to change, because the Internet is a medium on evolution, which makes your Internet business plan an ever changing blueprint... You can call this one of the golden rules of monetization.

Let's take a look at the three elements for effectively applying your "blogging for money" efforts, that will build a successful online home business:

Content

I mention content as the number one of the three golden rules of making money blogging because without a good up to date content your blog is just another static site, which is OK for some things, but not for a these type of sites. People and search engines expect for a blog to be updated constantly.

To be successful you need to provide content that is of high quality, original, useful to others, and closely relevant to your targeted niche. Is true that some bloggers still mix their personal stuff with their niche content, but if you put yourself in your reader's shoes, why do think they visit your site for? To read what happen to you in the super market or to read what your blog tagline or slogan is promising. Remember that your content is why people go to your site, that's why having good information will generate targeted traffic if is relevant to your main topic.

Traffic

Many call traffic the Holy Grail to build a successful online business, which is true only if that traffic is highly targeted, if you try to get everyone to visit your website, eventually nobody will, because they know that you don't have the information they are looking for. So, make sure you get a lot of visitors to your site that are really interest in the topic or niche of your blog.

Use traffic sources that can send good quality visitors to your site, develop a good link building marketing campaign, focus on SEO strategies to get free search traffic, for faster results invest on PPC or Adwords (Note: Make sure you learn how to use PPC advertising right before using it, or will cost you a lot of money and you may get low responses), advertise on top relevant blogs to gain more exposure, use viral marketing to make your message spread fast, and don't forget to use the traffic power of social media or web 2.0 tools.

Income

You can't be blogging for money if you haven't set up a good income mechanism and sales process. You need have a good income source structure that will earn you passive revenue, you can set a few types of lucrative assets for your site, here is an example of the elements that can be monetize:

  • Virtual real estate space.
  • Specific words.
  • RSS feeds.
  • Blog posts or articles.
  • List building.

You don't have to make money from each of these elements, in fact some blogs do just fine by monetizing one or two of those elements. Just test and track everything you do until you find the best profit centers for your site and your niche.

Now what's important is the type of income sources you decide to use for each or few of those profit centers. Remember that your visitors are your priority, so try to find quality sources of revenue without upsetting your readers. Some of the things you can do use are:

  • Sponsor image ads.
  • Sponsor links.
  • Google Adsense or other type of contextual ads services.
  • Affiliate programs (digital or physical products).
  • Inline word ads.
  • Paid reviews of products or merchants.
  • Blog post sponsor links.
  • And recommend your own products.

To successfully make your blogging for money effort worth while make sure each profit center in your site have monetization sources relevant to your main topic, this way your or sponsor conversion rates will be higher.

Make sure you apply the three golden rules to your blog with a good Internet marketing plan to boost your success factor.

Learning as much as you can about blogging for money can help you grow your income, this is why that's one of the main topics I write about at the Internet Marketing Tips blog.

Why Do I Need a Blog?

Blogging is the day's buzzword and you really need to get on the blogging train if you want to make some cool cash in a small time. Are you interested in finding out how you can make the most out of your blog? Keep reading then.

A blog is basically a space where you can write and post whatever you like. You can pick up a social issue like the condition of people in Africa or environmental issues like global warming. You can also share some recipes with people or just write about your personal life or some experiences. A blog is a place with literally thousands of possibilities. You just have to take a step ahead and create your own possibility.

If you are really passionate about something then your first hurdle towards effective blogging has been eliminated. Now all that you have to do is to register yourself on any of the blogging websites like wordpress etc., find a name that is available and relevant to your topic of discussion and start writing about it.

But what you write must be quality matter and not gibberish; it should attract the reader, give him or her some valuable insights into the topic being discussed and make them come back to you for again with even more visitors. Easier said than done, wouldn't you say? Well, I totally agree but then this is how it is done. There are a certain things that you can do here and there to make this task a bit easier and get better results and return for the time that you have invested.

The first step is that your blog's name should reflect the topic that you are blogging about. So if you are discussing about paintings, then don't name it 'Paula's blog' or 'Scott's blog', etc. keep the name relevant like 'paintingsworld' or 'paintingbazaar' etc. These names will give an interested reader the first glimpse into what your blog is about.

The second thing that you must do is to pen down a few points. These should be about what all topics that you'll discuss about paintings and what all you will avoid touching on. Once you have done that it is time to start writing a few articles. Write something about yourself, a little bio of sorts. Write about your experience in the field etc. Now once you have a short intro of yourself and a few articles ready, it is time to start posting articles. Post two or three articles everyday for a few days.

Now if you have a few people reading your material and posting comments it is time to sign up with Google AdSense. They will then place ads on your blog and every time a visitor clicks on these ads you get paid a commission. These commissions are then paid out on a weekly or a monthly basis.

Also you must ensure that the content that you have uploaded is Search Engine Optimized (SEO). You can always take the help of a professional in this regard so that your blog gets a higher ranking in the Google search engine. Also, when you setup your blog on Wordpress, you get a major advantage which is not available on most of the other blogging sites.

At Wordpress you have the option of uploading or rather to say saving many articles at a time while publishing just a few every day. This way you don't have to login and post new content every day. It also keeps the content on your blog from becoming stale thus keeping your visitor base loyal. It also helps in saving time because you have to write all the articles just at once and then they'll automatically keep getting posted.
